Hello World!
Time has come to share our project with the wider audience - after almost 2 years of tinkering with it, we proudly present the demo version of Kielbasa Empire to you.
Here is the game story:
Kielbasa Empire
May 1st, 1989
You were supposed to walk in the parade, carrying the banner of the State Farm where you work. I mean, you worked, because the manager was furious that you traded oil to the tractor for moonshine again. But when he drank with you, the bastard didn't complain.
You were left without money and a roof over your head, alone as a finger in a sunken village somewhere in Podlasie. The orphanage doesn't want you back (because you're supposedly too old, and you're only 37). Fortunately, your friendly 'uncle' has offered to take you in if you help on the farm.
Demo version
So far, the cultivation is working - you can plant crops, and with a bit of luck and knowledge of farming maybe something will even grow. You can explore the village map, but be careful with energy - you'd better eat well before you start roaming the bushes. The same goes for working in the fields - you won't get far on an empty stomach. You can also shoot potato beetles, dropped by nasty American capitalists (Note: there's no return from this module for now!) - but first, you need to find Herman's house, because he's the one with the Flak 88 in the bushes behind the house.
There will be many, many more mechanics in the full game, from fishing, pig farming, inflation and bills to pay, to making sausage (and perhaps other things).
And of course, there will be Zombies, as befits the early 1990s.
